If you think of cider then the first thing that probably comes to mind is the Wurzels on their combine harvester with a jug of scrumpy or the homeless and under-aged with their cheap bottles of White Lightening. From their urban cidery in central London, it’s these stereotypes that Hawkes London want to change.

Whilst our name was inspired by London’s original street hawkers, our mission is right here in the present and the future.

The world of cider stands at a crossroads. For too long we’ve allowed ‘big’ cider and tradition to hold back our industry’s growth.

That ends here.

SAVIOURS OF CIDER

From their cidery and tap room in Bermondsey, Hawkes are producing a range of craft ciders and other drinks, such as Alcoholic Ginger Beer, “Elephants on Ice“, a winter cider infused with cinnamon and cloves and Graff, an Apple Pale Ale.

Hawkes are now part of Brewdog, having been bought by them earlier this year.
