Äs Gäächs
What the brewery say
High above the Muotathal perched an imposing mountain massif – the Heubrig. Up there, with great respect for nature, purely by hand and in a very gäächem (steep) terrain, a unique beer ingredient is harvested: Tasty, spicy Wildiheu (wild hay). This gives the beer its unmistakable, aromatic taste! The name “Gääch” stands for the Muotathaler origin and the extreme conditions under which this exceptional raw material is extracted.
