Baltic Porter from BRŁO

(Baltic) Porter from BRŁO

(Baltic) Porter

What the brewery say

This bottom-fermented beer style is a cross between English porter and Russian Imperial Stout. Our unfiltered Baltic Porter delights with harmonious caramel and roasted aromas. It has enough turns too. That’s how Catherine the Great tasted it. NSTRVJ!

Geeky details

ABV: 7%
IBU: 30
Style: Porter
Ingredients: Brewing water, barley malt (Pilsen malt, Munich malt), hops (Hercules, Opal, Spalter Select, Tettnanger).

Our opinion

Pours dark brown with a thick brown head. The aroma is of ripe fruits, chocolate, roasted malts, black olives and the taste is chocolate and roasted malts with hints of coffee and caramel.

Where we drank it

I drank the (Baltic) Porter from BRŁO during my trip to Berlin, as part of the tasting menu at the BRŁO Brwhouse in Berlin, accompanied by fermented garlic.
