Brewdog Clapham
Another one of Brewdog’s smaller bars and surprisingly empty for 5:30 on a Saturday, but the good weather could have something to do with that. The bar has a very arty feel, with a variety of pictures on the walls that are available to buy.
I finished the day as I started, with a stout. This time it was the Live rebrew of Dead Metaphor, a 6 7% live rebrew of a beer from 2013. Dead Metaphor is a Scottish chocolate breakfast Stout – brewed with Brazilian coffee, Cacao and oatmeal. It’s chocolatey, rich and smooth with a honeycomb mouthfeel and a rich red berry coffee character. A great way to end a day of beery wonderfulness.
From Brewdog Clapham, I’m heading further south to Croydon, where I’ve got a bed for the night with friends. Tomorrow I do it all over again to the west and north of the city.
