Brewdog Angel
Brewdog Angel is another one of Brewdog’s smaller bars, but still offers a wide range of Brewdog and guest beers, albeit with a pizza only menu.
My choice of beer for the final bar was Neighbourhood, a 9% Raspberry and Blackcurrant Porter that is a collaboration between Brewdog and Fierce Beer from Aberdeen.
Note: Since I made my trip to London in May 2019, Brewdog Angel has closed down.
The eagle eye Brewdog fans amongst you have probably noticed that one of the London bars is missing from my trip. No, I didn’t forget to visit Brewdog Camden, I have already been there and got a visa stamp on a previous trip to London.
That wasn’t quite the end of my beery weekend though, in need of some food, I decided to return to Brewdog Paddington to grab a final beer and something to eat.
Brewdog Paddington (again)
Just time for something to eat and a drink before my train to Luton. I went for a Patriot Burger and a side of Sweet Potato Fries, accompanied by a
Thorn Blossom, a 6.3% rustic sour ale from Overworks. There’s plenty of Brett funk playing with the tart berries and spicy heather, resulting in complex aromas and flavours arising from the bioconversions of the heather blossom. The Brettanomyces have fully attenuated this beer to a canvas dry palate rocker.
Finishing at Brewdog Paddington, its back to Edgware Road tube station and the Hammersmith and City line to King’s Cross St Pancras and a train back to Luton for my flight back to Zürich in the morning.
